Luis and Nikki’s wedding was a celebration filled with energy, emotion, and the unmistakable feeling of two families coming together in the most beautiful way. From our very first conversations with them, it was clear how intentional they were about creating a wedding day that felt elegant, joyful, and deeply personal — centered around authentic moments, meaningful connection, and the people they love most.

In the months leading up to the wedding, we worked closely with them to thoughtfully build a photography timeline that created space for both timeless portraits and natural, candid storytelling throughout the day. Their vision focused not only on documenting the major moments, but on preserving the atmosphere, emotion, and experience surrounding them.

The day began inside the Floridian Suite at Hotel Haya, where we documented the details that helped tell the story of the wedding — Nikki’s gown, veil, rings, perfume, invitation suite, and the quiet anticipation leading into the ceremony. One of the most emotional moments of the day came during their private first look before the ceremony, creating an intimate pause before the celebration fully unfolded.

Their ceremony took place at the historic Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Ybor City, followed by portraits throughout the surrounding streets and architecture of Ybor before returning to Hotel Haya for the reception. Throughout the day, one of the things that stood out most was the deep connection they shared with their families and friends. Every part of the celebration felt intentional, emotional, and centered around togetherness.

As the evening continued, the atmosphere transformed into one of the most vibrant and unforgettable receptions we’ve ever documented. The Valencia Ballroom was filled with nonstop energy, emotional speeches, live music, and a dance floor that remained packed throughout the night. Their “Crazy Hour” brought an entirely new layer of celebration, filled with colorful props, outfit changes, movement, laughter, and an explosion of joy that perfectly reflected the spirit of the evening.

Our goal throughout the wedding was to create a gallery that balanced timeless elegance with honest emotion — blending cinematic imagery, classic black-and-white storytelling, vibrant color, and candid moments that felt alive and real. The result was a collection of photographs that not only documented a wedding day, but preserved the feeling of it — the movement, love, celebration, and overwhelming joy that surrounded Luis and Nikki from beginning to end.
